| DESCRIPTION |
Raytheon's Beech Aircraft Corporation purchased the Hawker 400XP from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, LTD in 1985. The manufacture of the aircraft was moved from Japan to their aircraft facility in Wichita, Kansas. The model 400A's improvements include a new design of the fuel system under the cabin floor which provided extra space in the cabin as well as a better seating configuration. The Hawker XP is a short to medium range jet powered by two Pratt & Whitney JT15D-5 turbofan and utilizes Collins FCS-580 digital flight management system.
